So there's this guy named Stuart Holden

Just watched the US demolish Guatemala 6-0.  Dononan scored his 50th and 51st goals, but the real story of the match, in my view, is that Holden and Diskerud came on in the second half and totally bossed the midfield.  A whole other level of quality.

Less than twelve months until WC 2014.  BTW, I watched almost the entire Confederations Cup.  Brazil outplayed Spain in every way, winning deservedly 3-0.  Brazil knocked the Spanish off the ball and ran by them; Spain looked weak and slow.   Burying Spain because of one bad performance is foolish, but Brazil -- the whole tournament -- looked like thoroughbreds.  Brazil will be tough to beat next year at the WC.  Might be the Germans are better suited to play Brazil than Spain is.
