US 1, Guatemala 0. A dirty game, played on one of the worst lit fields I've ever seen. The first twenty minutes of the second half were absolutely horrid for the US -- I was sure Guatemala would score. But they didn't, and then Bocanegra headed a nice corner in for the winner. Harkes (play by play) was praising Ching, but cripes, Ching is approximately as fast as Sid Bream, and Ching is a striker.

Heath Pearce also had a terrible game, getting beat repeatedly by "Loco" Rodriguez, and Donovan was practically invisible on the right side. But we did win, so I can't complain too much. Tim Howard, let it be repeated, is terrific.
