To use all capital letters is considered bad form. That's the equivalent of shouting, and the dreaded "all-cap" poster is generally one whose thoughts are disregarded, because all-cap usage is a pretty good proxy for idiocy. But there are times when one is sooooo angry -- searing outrage -- that all-caps are necessary.

Now is one of those times.

USMNT is playing Brazil -- fast, strong, skillful (if more defense minded under Dunga than normal). The last thing we need in the lineup against Brazil are stone-footed guys with poor technical skills. So what does Bob Bradley do? HE STARTS DAMARCUS BEASLEY AND SASHA KLJESTAN. AGAINST BRAZIL. BOB, MOTHER OF CHRIST, WHAT THE EFF IS WRONG WITH YOU?

Unsurprisingly, Beasley and Kljestan proceed to play two of the worst games I've ever seen anyone play in a USMNT shirt, and that's no small task (I've watched some of Twellman's caps). Both men literally humiliated themselves. Poor touch, poor vision, and poor defense. And then Kljestan got a red card for a stupid tackle. A tour de force of rubbish.

There's more. Guess who Beasley's sub was? Freddy Adu? No. Jose Francisco Torres? No. CONOR FREAKIN' CASEY. AGAINST BRAZIL.

I can't take it. Bob, did you not watch the 07 u20 WC -- where Adu ran the game and beat Pato's Brazil? Did you forget Adu's performance in the Spain and Argentina friendlies? Are you unaware that Torres plays frequently for Pachuca, and has excellent ball-handling skills -- i.e., he does not routinely surrender possession? Are you aware that maintaining possession is a useful way to prevent the other team from scoring, while threatening to score yourself? Because if so, the Beasley-Kljestan-Casey trio seems an odd tactic. Beasley was good once; no longer. Kljestan and Casey never were and never will be national team material. This is not brilliant insight. It's painfully obvious. To everyone but our national coach. Awesome.

If Bradley does not start playing Adu and Torres, and start calling up people like Parkhurst, Cooper, Rogers, and Szetela (to push and challenge the older guys on our team who can and do play well, but would nonetheless benefit from some competition), we will go three and out in the 2010 WC. Guaran-f*cking-teed.

I think BB should be cashiered immediately, but apparently Sunil won't think of it. Way to waste a World Cup cycle, guys.

So, after going up 1-0, the USMNT loses 3-1 to Italy in the Confederations Cup. Some thoughts:

-- The red card on Ricardo Clark was utterly preposterous. In no league or place in the world was that a red card. I thought Clark was doing well (as was the whole team) before the card.

-- Altidore (although he missed a near-sitter) is a real threat; the Italians took him seriously.

-- Feilhaber, who I've been touting, had a poor game. His nice pass to Jozy (after which Jozy was fouled for Donovan's successful PK) does not excuse his overall weak performance. He made bad passes and was dispossessed frequently (including on the Rossi goal).

-- The offside-anulled own goal was a very, very close call.

-- After going down 2-1, I don't see why guys with offensive spark and technical skills -- e.g., Adu and/or Torres -- weren't subbed in.

-- Dempsey needs to start a game on the bench. He's just not bringing it for nats games.
