The good guys at That's On Point -- Adu supporters like myself -- posted this clip of Adu's skills in last summer's Spain and Argentina friendlies. He needs more national team minutes. That he is not in favor at Monaco does not mean he cannot add real value to the USMNT. Club play is a modestly useful proxy for nats-play worthiness (as applied to the US team, as opposed to someone like Spain or England), but it is far from perfect.

We beat Honduras 2-1 Sat night, but I didn't see it because I was out with visiting family.  Glad we won (and Feilhaber, a legit ball-handler, won high praise from reviewers), but I still think Bradley's not the man for the job.  Here's the lineup I'd use for the Confederations Cup:

------Altidore--------

---------Adu---------

Dempsey--------Donovan

---Bradley--Feilhaber/Torres

Bornstein------Spector

----Bocanegra----Oneywu----

-------Howard---------

I'd use Rico to spell Bradley, and Davies to spell Altidore.

That's our best technical team (and fairly young); they should be getting the playing time.  It's not like my lineup is a crazy, either; a significant group of intelligent commenters over at Ives and Big Soccer feel the same way.
