Huge sports weekend.

1. US plays Brazil on Sunday at 3pm CT. Both bring their "A" teams (but still no Adu or Altidore -- who is injured -- for the US). Given the shabbiness of the USMNT's last four performances (all sluggish losses), all I'm really hoping for is a competitive match.

2. England plays Israel on Saturday, and almost certainly the injured Steven Gerrard will play. I generally root for the Three Lions, but if Stevie seriously aggravates the broken toe I may cry.

3. UFC 75 is on Saturday night, for free on Spike TV. UFC v. Pride! Liddell v. Silva! Wait, no. It's Jackson v. Henderson, the two guys who knocked out those longtime champs a few months ago. The good news? Jackson-Henderson could be a very entertaining fight. Henderson's an Olympic level wrestler with a killer right who's never been knocked out, and Jackson's the two-time Liddell conqueror who's close to invincible when he's not facing Chute Boxe.

4. Ah, yes...this other small sports league you may have heard of -- they call themselves the National Football League, and play American style football -- begins this weekend. Go Bills!
