Well, the US lost to Mexico 2-1 on Aug 12, but that's the really old bad news.

The new bad news is that Liverpool is off to a disastrous start to the season, with two losses --including today at home to Villa, 3-1. I can't even bring myself to blog about the specifics of this sort of nonsense.
