A memorable sports weekend:

UFC 126, filled with great matchups, show us how awesome Jon Jones is, with his thorough domination of Ryan Bader, and how scary Anderson Silva is, with his blink and you'll miss it front-kick knockout of the never before knocked out Vitor Belfort.

Pool, with King Kenny at the helm, looked stable and composed at Chelsea, and walked away with the 1-0 victory (they also looked stable and composed dispatching Stoke mid-week). It's astonishing how bad a coach Roy Hodgson was. Today's home loss for Chelsea was a perfect start for the new Blue, Francisco Torres. Man, it'd be sweet if Chelsea finished out of the top four. But they won't.

Other EPL stuff -- Newcastle came back from 4-0 down at the half to tie Arse 4-4. Naturally, I turned the match off at the half. And...the Mancs lost. No more undefeated season, so sorry.

Then a small game of American football, the Super Bowl. A close game: Green Bay 31, Pittsburgh 25. How did GB win? The amazing Aaron Rodgers -- velocity! accuracy! tight spiral! -- essentially beat Pittsburgh by himself. GB suffered 4 injuries to key players; GB receivers dropped at least four passes; Pittsburgh had the best defense in the league; GB rushed for 50 yards (less than 13 yards a quarter!). Turnovers (3 Steeler turnovers), and Rodgers was 24/39 for 304 yards, 3 touchdowns, 111.5 passer rating. He's the best quarterback in the league.
