England loses on penalties to Italy; the right team won.  After the first ten or so minutes, Italy totally controlled the game, masterminded by a sleepy-looking fellow you might have heard of.  The Azzurri were extremely unlucky not to have scored, and the match went to penalties, where the English are historically inept and Italy only slightly less so, 2006 WC final aside.  England went up 2-1 on penalties before Pirlo stepped up and did this.  Andrea Pirlo: master, and owner, of huge balls.
