After the u20s lost to Austria 2-1 in the quarters last Saturday, I wasn't in the mood to post anything. The u20s were a legitimate threat to make it to the finals, and perhaps even win it all. Their departure was a disappointment. The good news is that those guys can play. Adu, Altidore, Seitz, Szetela -- get ready for the senior team, boys. We'll be very glad to have you.

Also discouraging was Brazil's 3-0 Copa win over Argentina. Argentina played so beautifully...until they got clocked by strong, technically sound, hard Brazil. No joga bonito there. Defensively organized, big, and willing to foul to break up their opponents' rhythm, they are not your father's Brazil. Unfortunately.
