Pool runs roughshod over Inter, 2-0. Wow. The Scousers dominated every minute of the game -- both before the thug Materazzi's sending off and after. But it was nil-nil until Kuyt's score in the 82nd, and then the Captain ripped one in off the post in the 90th minute. A deserved 2-nil win.

It's matches like this where I think: why can't Pool play like this all the time? Inter has probably been the best team in the world over the past few months, and the Reds owned them. This, in contrast to the squad that has been horrific in the EPL during the same period that Inter has dominated Serie A.

Of the world's famous clubs, is there a more difficult team to support than Pool? Oh yes -- Inter.
